I decided to rebrand FamusFit to Famfit.info. There were several reasons for the changes. The first one was that if your name is misunderstood by others and the brand causes confusion then its not a good choice long-term. I had to explain to people what it meant more than I would've liked. I changed it to FamFit after my own initials. Since I'm going to start a business where its only myself, I figured I would brand my hard work and skills as the forefront to my business.
Fitness has now enveloped my life and become a thing that I do everyday. I love to be able to share it with others, and I've been making friends, while at the same time helping other people feel better about themselves both inside and outside.
I always tell myself and others I train that the only difference between fit and unfit is your mental view of the same scenario. Those that aren't fit make excuses, or hide their negative actions towards themselves. I'm not only talking about food, if you are angry or depressed all the time you will make choices that lean towards strengthening those feelings. Fitness is therapy.
It's a way to challenge oneself and to set goals when things around you might not be set. Fitness is the one thing anyone rich or poor, powerful or disabled, can be a apart of. The time you finally let go and walk into a place where you are scared. Believe me even the biggest person in the gym walked in there for the first time with deer in the headlights. I know I was terrified to be a new Marine on Camp Lejeune and train with guys that had been doing it for life. It turns out there are tons of people out there that want to teach others and help almost immediately. You only have to ask.
I also started working with my friend photographer Andrew Tucker. He's a former veteran and aspires to work in photography or film. He took these pictures and will be helping me in the future. You can check him out on instagram at tucker_visuals
